Together in 2770 Collective are a group of organisations and residents who have agreed to come together to focus on the priorities and aspirations of Mt Druitt residents, The Collective is deeply involved in the suburbs of Willmot, Lethbridge Park, Bidwill and Tregear. The Collective works in a place-based, innovative, and collaborative way to achieve long-lasting and system wide change.
The Together in 2770 Collective believe if we set ego’s aside, remain place-based, put the community first, and share our resources, we can break cycles of disadvantage and see children, families and communities thrive.
The Hive partners with over 40 organisations, schools, businesses and early learning centres across Mt Druitt. The Organisations below are key partners who sit on our Governance group, the 2770 Collective.
BaptistCare HopeStreet walks alongside and supports families where they live, working together to build a stronger community where individuals and families in Willmot and Lethbridge Park achieve their goals and thrive.
We take the time to get to know the communities we work alongside, so families can choose the support they need. We offer general case work support, employment pathways, and the coordinating and navigation of services through case management and advocacy.
Jesuit Social Services are a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential.
We partner with community to support those most in need. We work to change policies, practices, ideas and values that perpetuate inequality, prejudice and exclusion.
We understand that there are many pressures that families and individuals face day to day, and often those pressures can be a barrier to people flourishing. At the Salvos, our hope is that all people can flourish. In support of that we offer assistance in the form of emergency relief, financial counselling (including budgeting, advocacy, NILS and EAPA assistance), casework, referrals to youth and AOD services and community engagement activities.
Bidwill Uniting Church sits in the heart of Bidwill, offering a drop in space, strengths-based community development activities and community engagement as well as some key programs that help adults learn skills to create their own future stories and move out of entrenched poverty.
Mission Australia is a national Christian charity that has been standing alongside Australians in need since 1859. In Western Sydney we deliver homelessness services, provide housing, assist families and children, address mental health issues, fight substance dependencies, support people with disability and much more. Our targeted Earlier Intervention Program operates in Mount Druitt working with families and community. We provide a soft entry point to help break down social isolation by providing groups where participants feel comfortable and have access to other supports to assist them with their needs.
United Way Australia (UWA) is focused on bringing people together and empowering communities to support the development and well-being of the next generation. In 2014, UWA collaborated with others to launch The Hive in Mt Druitt. UWA is the over-arching organisation behind The Hive and supports the work through networking, sourcing funds, measurement and evaluation, advocacy and administrative support.
Department of Social Services recognises the need to disrupt disadvantage and create better futures for children and their families through locally tailored and evidence-driven solutions to local problems, in partnership with local people. The Department of Social Services became a funding partner to UWA / The Hive in 2019.
The Paul Ramsay Foundation focuses on the most stubborn barriers to change, where multiple cycles of disadvantage collide, and experiences of disadvantage persist across generations. In 2020 they saw the adaptive practices of The Hive and entered a five-year funding agreement with UWA to bring scalable early years innovation to Mt Druitt.
